In my quest to destigmatize mental illness, I’m very open about my own diagnoses and how I manage. I have bipolar disorder, which is lifelong and can sometimes make my life very difficult.
I take my meds every day, have a therapist, and a psychiatrist. I also have ADHD, which is often comormid with Bipolar in women. I recently accepted that I needed help with this, and am finally on the right meds.
I’m sober. That’s important to me and a lot of folks if you’re not, that’s totally fine. Strict with myself, temperate with others.
There is zero judgement allowed in my shop. I’m happy to talk/listen to you about any of these topics. I’m never going to ask you or assume anything. I’m here to help, but I’m not a therapist. Just relatable and supportive.
If my being open about my mental health and sobriety helps even one person to not feel alone, then I’ve done good.
